As part of the “OH MY CAFE” series, “The Wonder Movie CAFE” will open in Tokyo’s Omotesando Hills on Saturday, April 1, 2023, offering guests a healthy dining and drinking experience inspired by Disney animation and accompanied by an array of Disney-inspired artwork.
The limited-time cafe is being offered in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. The cafe’s interior design will showcase the theme of Disney’s movie production, with a movie theatre atmosphere.
Advance reservations are required to visit The Wonder Movie CAFE. Bookings can be made through the official reservation website. Reservations are accepted until 9:00 am on the day.
Special Menu and Drinks
The cafe will be presented in three phases themed to different Disney animation eras offering distinct menus, merchandise, and theming. The first phase will feature a limited-time monochrome menu using charcoal, representing the early sketching phases of the production process.
In addition to the rotating limited-time menu items, guests can choose from the grand menu which features an assortment of healthy low-sodium, low-sugar food and beverages.
Special Merchandise
The Wonder Movie CAFE will offer a wide selection of exclusive merchandise themed to Walt Disney Animation Studios. The main collection includes limited-time acrylic key chains, eco bags, canned chocolate crunch and a selection of merchandise.
Additional themed merchandise will be released in phases, much like the changing menu. The first phase features monochromatic early sketches from the history of Disney animation. Items include a pillow, an eco bag, stationery, handkerchiefs and a series of canvas art.
Guests have the opportunity to buy the kitchenware that is used at the Wonder Movie CAFE, including black and white plates and mugs, as well as cutlery and other types of drink glasses.
