Tokyo Disney Resort has announced a number of significant changes coming to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, as the parks continue to slowly return to pre-pandemic ‘normal’ operations.
As of April 25, 2022 (Monday), guests will notice the removal of social distancing markers around the park and resort restaurants. There will also be no density restrictions at restaurants. Guests are still required to wear face masks, in line with Japanese health and safety guidelines.
Guests will also notice the gradual removal of standby passes which were introduced in early 2021 to manage crowds for rides, restaurants and other experiences. The pass will no longer be required for most rides and stores at both parks. There is no word of the return of Fast Passes at this time. Guests wishing to participate in character greetings will no longer be required to enter a lottery.
It has also been announced that the first performances of Big Band Beat and Club Mouse Beat of each day will be standby only, with subsequent performances still run by lottery.
