Tokyo Disney Resort Replaces Free Priority Pass with Expanded Disney Premier Access

As we previously reported, the Tokyo Disney Resort 40th Anniversary Priority Pass will come to an end on August 31st after three years of service. Introduced as part of Tokyo Disneyland’s 40th anniversary celebrations, the free service allowed guests to skip the standby queue at select attractions.

Since the announcement, many fans have been wondering what would replace the limited-time service. Tokyo Disney Resort has now confirmed that Disney Premier Access will expand at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, with several attractions previously available through the free-of-charge Priority Pass moving to the paid system.

Let’s take a look at the changes coming to Tokyo Disney Resort starting September 1st, 2026.

Tokyo Disneyland

At Tokyo Disneyland, Big Thunder Mountain, Pooh’s Hunny Hunt, Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek!, and Haunted Mansion will all become Disney Premier Access attractions after previously being included with the free Priority Pass. Haunted Mansion DPA will be offered exclusively during the holiday period.

Meanwhile, Star Tours: The Adventure Continues, which was also available through Priority Pass, will return to a standby-only queue.

Tokyo DisneySea

The changes at Tokyo DisneySea are less significant, as many of the park’s headline attractions already offer Disney Premier Access. Raging Spirits and Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull, once it reopens following its lengthy refurbishment, will both be added to the paid service.

Meanwhile, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Turtle Talk, Nemo & Friends SeaRider, and The Magic Lamp Theater, all previously included with Priority Pass, will likely become standby-only attractions.
