With the recent openings of Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea and Beauty and the Beast at Tokyo Disneyland, it might seem like Tokyo Disney Resort is complete. However, in a surprising announcement, the Oriental Land Company (OLC) has unveiled brand-new concept art for potential future expansions.
As part of the presentation, OLC shared concept art for a possible reimagining of Adventureland and the surrounding areas at Tokyo Disneyland. The blue-sky concept artwork appears to suggest wide-sweeping changes to the opening-day land, including the removal of the long-closed Swiss Family Treehouse, The Enchanted Tiki Room, The Jungle Cruise, the Western River Railroad train, Theatre Orleans, – and possibly the Country Bear Jamboree and more in Westernland.
The concept art offers a glimpse at new Pixar-inspired attractions planned for the land, including Up, The Incredibles, and Moana. At the bottom centre, a Moana-themed boat ride is hinted at, while a Central America-inspired area appears to represent Paradise Falls from Disney and Pixar’s Up. In the upper right corner, a high-speed Incredicoaster and the Omnidroid spinner are featured on Nomanisan Island.
OLC has also released concept art showing potential changes to Port Discovery at Tokyo DisneySea, which appears to include the removal of the opening-day attraction, Aquatopia. It’s important to note that this concept art represents just an example of the possible expansions under consideration.
The proposed projects were first outlined in OLC’s 2035 Long-Term Management Strategy, released on April 28, 2025. This strategy details a dynamic restructuring of the resort’s theme parks, including plans for large-scale developments such as new attractions and entertainment unique to Tokyo Disney Resort, along with potential area-wide redesigns at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
