Tokyo Disney Resort Events Calendar 2020 (All Events Cancelled)
UPDATE: Tokyo Disney Resort has announced that all seasonal events in 2020 are cancelled. This also includes the New Year’s, new Duffy and Friends, and a new Beauty and the Beast event that were scheduled for 2021. This news adds to the reasons why I think you should cancel your trip to Japan this year.
According to NHK, decorations are not going up for any of the events either. It’s not clear if food or merchandise is also cancelled for these events.
Seasonal events at Tokyo Disney Resort add variety to your visit. From the unique Duffy and Friends events to the popular Halloween event. Whenever you plan to visit Tokyo Disney Resort there’s always something special happening. Here’s a quick glance at all the events happening at Tokyo Disneyland & Tokyo DisneySea for 2020.
Don’t forget the major Fantasyland expansion opens in April at Tokyo Disneyland too! There’s a lot happening this year at Tokyo Disney Resort and it’s going to be good.

Things to note about the Tokyo Disney Resort events
- Disney Easter is only at Tokyo DisneySea in 2020
- There are no Tanabata Days at Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea in 2020
- “Happy Fair with Baymax” is the new summer event at Tokyo Disneyland
New Attractions Opening in 2020
This year is a big year for Tokyo Disneyland with the opening of the anticipated Fantasyland expansion on April 15, 2020. Here’s a look at what’s coming:
- Enchanted Tales of Beauty and the Beast (Fantasyland)
- La Taverne de Gaston Restaurant (Fantasyland)
- LeFou’s (Snack stand in Fantasyland)
- Mickey’s Magic World in the new Fantasyland Forest Theatre
- The Happy Ride with Baymax (Tomorrowland)
- The Big Pop (Popcorn shop in Tomorrowland)
- Minnie’s Style Studio (Meet and Greet facility in Toontown)
