One of the most important things about trip planning is knowing the Tokyo Disneyland ride closures. Travelling all the way to Tokyo Disneyland to only find out Pooh’s Hunny Hunt is closed is the worst feeling. Or that stomach-dropping devastation when you see Journey to the Center of the Earth is under refurbishment.

Tokyo Disneyland & DisneySea Ride Closures
This is a list of Tokyo Disney Resort ride closures for 2020 (including entertainment). Always double-check the official website for the most up-to-date information, which is subject to change without notice. Finally, keep in mind that Tokyo Disney Resort sticks to this schedule, which means you won’t see attractions open before the date indicated. Use this closures list with our guide to deciding when to visit to help plan your trip!
Ride & Entertainment Closures 2020
Here’s a look at the Tokyo Disney Resort ride closures for 2020. It’s important to know that Tokyo Disneyland’s Castle is under renovations (Cinderella Castle) until April 2020. You may have the castle covered in scaffolding during your visit. Judging by the re-opening date of Cinderella’s Fairy Tale Hall of April 7, 2020 (it’s an attraction inside the castle), the refurbishment may be done by then.
As of January 2020, the closure schedule has been announced through July. We expect the rest of the year to come out around May. Schedules are usually out about 6-7 months in advance. The biggest closure is Pooh’s Hunny Hunt from March 20 to April 2, 2020. This means it’ll reopen on April 3, 2020. Followed by Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights (see below for dates).

For those Explorers visiting in the summer, take note that Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage is closed throughout July and into August. Views of DisneySea’s volcano, Mount Prometheus, may be affected by construction work from March 31, 2019, until late October 2020. Read more.

Chris, if you had the option of travel in April 2019 when Pooh’s Honey Hunt is closed, or May when Critter Country and most of Westernland is closed, which would you choose (with both potential travel periods mid week and avoiding peak times).
I’d visit in May. Pooh’s Hunny Hunt is one of their best attractions and it’s unique to Tokyo Disneyland.
Is that a single day that the Country Bear Jamboree is closed, or a closed indefinitely? Please say the former! I would cry if we lost the TDR bears!

Is it common, that the Ride Schedules stay CLOSED for the entire duration of the date specified? Or do they on occasion, open back up EARLIER that what might be scheduled?
Why would they close splash mountain for the summer?

Does this mean there will be no fireworks between those dates, or will it be a different seasonal show?
Wow! So Mt Prometheus will be covered over the Olympics! That’s a shame because that mountain can be seen from every angle in the park!
Your website has been helping us so much! We are off to visit all 3 countries next month and planning is in full swing. We are gutted we leave tokyo on the 29th November, what are the chances journey to the centre of the earth will reopen early? Does that ever happen?
