The New Tokyo Disney Vacation Package Offers Unlimited Rides

Tokyo Disney Resort is launching a new vacation package aimed at foreign tourists to make their visit to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea easier. This new package, “Fantasy Springs: Enjoy Attractions Even More ― 3DAYS (with Park Tickets for 2DAYS),” offers unlimited rides at select attractions through the Priority Access line (similar to Lightning Lane in the US) in both parks, including Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea.

I’m going to break down what this new vacation package includes. The explanation on the official website is quite confusing, so I’ll do my best to make it easier for you to understand!

We contacted Tokyo Disney Resort to confirm the details of this new vacation package, as the website’s wording wasn’t straightforward.

What does this package include?

The package you’ll receive with all your vouchers and tickets!

This package includes a lot; everything listed here is per person on your reservation (unless otherwise noted).

This new package includes your park tickets for two of your three days:

  • Day 1 (Check-In): Tokyo Disneyland Park Ticket
  • Day 2: Tokyo DisneySea Park Ticket (with Fantasy Springs Magic Ticket)
  • Day 3 (Check-Out): No park ticket included

The third day is your checkout day, but you can buy an additional regular one-day ticket to any park. If you stay at the Fantasy Springs Hotel, you can buy the 1-Day Passport Fantasy Springs Magic. That means you could leave your luggage at the hotel and then enjoy a third day to do anything you missed!

In addition to your park tickets, the package also includes the following:

  • Special Attraction Ticket (Tokyo Disneyland)
  • Special Attraction Ticket (Tokyo DisneySea)
  • Breakfast at the hotel on day 2 and day 3
  • Original Merchandise
  • Unlimited Drinks
  • Shoulder Bag

The only exception is that you’ll receive only one “original souvenir popcorn case” per room.

You can make restaurant reservations at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea at an additional cost. You can also make a reservation for the Fantasy Springs Hotel buffet restaurant (you don’t have to stay there to make this reservation).

What hotels can I choose from?

Toy Story Hotel is an option for the vacation package!

You can stay at one of the following Tokyo Disney Resort Hotels:

The vacation packages do not include the Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel or the Grand Chateau side of the Fantasy Springs Hotel.

When do reservations open?

Reservations for the “Fantasy Springs: Enjoy Attractions Even More ― 3DAYS (with Park Tickets for 2DAYS)” go on sale July 2nd, 2024, at 3 p.m. Japan time, for stays from November 1st through December 27th, 2024. You’ll have to make the reservations through the Tokyo Disney Resort website.

What does this vacation package cost?

Pricing varies depending on hotel choice, dates, and party size. Here’s a sample of costs per adult for the November 6, 2024. Weekdays are usually cheaper than weekends and holidays.

Tokyo Disney HotelStarting Price (JPY) per adultStarting Price (USD) per adult
Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel145,600 yen$905
Tokyo Disneyland Hotel144,400 yen$900
Disney Ambassador Hotel144,900 yen$900
Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta154,800 yen$960
Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel128,200 yen$800
Prices are based on the standard rooms. This is the cost per adult for the entire package. USD is based on the current exchange rate as of June 2024.

For exact pricing, you’ll have to wait for reservations to open to know exactly what it’ll cost with the number of people in your group.

What rides are unlimited with the “Special Attraction Ticket”?

You’ll get a “Special Attraction Ticket” for everyone on your reservation. You’ll have to show this ticket to the Cast Member at the Priority Access Line (similar to Lightning Lane in the US Parks) at the entrance to the attraction.

Here’s a list of rides you can use the pass on during your day using the Priority Access Line, which includes the best and most popular rides at the Parks. Being able to skip the standby lines will alleviate your stress about being at the Parks at the crack of dawn.

My Thoughts

See how the Vacation Package works with my extensive video on YouTube

This new Vacation Package will help simplify your vacation. For many attractions, you won’t have to navigate through Disney Premier Access, Priority Pass, or the Standby Pass. I can admit that the different ways to access attractions are confusing, and I appreciate the need to simplify.

Will it be worth it? I think it’ll depend on the price, but at first glance, this seems like an excellent option for those who want to ride everything they want, whenever they want.

The only downside to this package is that it doesn’t include anything for entertainment or character greetings, so you’ll still need to know how the Disney Premier Access and Standby Pass works. Don’t worry; we cover all that in our comprehensive guidebook to Tokyo Disney Resort.

The Japanese yen is currently at an all-time low, and the exchange rate may be in your favour. The package price could be worth it. As of this writing, USD 1.00 is about 161 Japanese yen.

If you want to take advantage of the exchange rate, convert your currency into Japanese yen by using Wise and getting a Wise Card. You can open an account, exchange it for the Japanese yen, and then use the yen during your trip but pay with the Wise card or take money out of an ATM. Only exchange what you’re comfortable with, and ensure you read their FAQ before making any decisions.

I’m trying to figure out how vacation packages work at TDR when you want to add time to the stay… I can’t seem to find info on if you are able to add days to the package to DIY some additional TDR time and not have to move rooms. Any guidance available on that? Thanks!

  2. Virginia

I already got the Vacation Package for November. Any idea if I can switch it over? I don’t want to lose my hotel reservation for Fantasy Springs.

  3. Alan

Thanks for the info. So compared to the original 3d2n VP, the main difference is that you get one less day of Disneysea access but have priority access for more rides. Since under the original VP, you get fixed tiimed rides for some of the Disneyland and Disneysea but unlimited access for FS rides.

    Is my understanding correct?

  4. Megan

I have a VP booked in November already, and I was thinking about booking a Disney hotel the night before for the Magic Entry, and, of course, the convenience of being at the resort for the first morning of the VP. I think it’s interesting that these new VPs aren’t set up that way. Day 1 being check in, Day 2 Disneyland, and Day 3 DisneySea and check out makes so much more sense. It would make this new package even more worth it, I think. Thank you for finding this information for everyone so quickly!

  5. Paul

Cancellation fees seem to apply within 20 days of package start: is that correct and refunds are without penalty before that?

  6. Jones

how do the DPA/vacation package lines compare to the stand-by lines? Do they skip a lot of what´s worth seeing? I like quite a few lines better tha the actual ride (I´m looking at you, Indiana Jones!), so I do not want to skip lines (umless it´s just a bullpen-area or the standby-line is 6 hours…)
Thanks a lot for your help!

  7. Esmerelda

I already have a VP booked for November. If I wanted to try my luck on this second time, can I make a second booking with the same login and for the same dates without cancelling the original booking until after the new booking is confirmed, to ensure I get the room type I want?

  8. Kari

The pricing was crazy! quoted me 393,500 for the standard TSH room in November and no restaurants other than breakfast. Had to skip it. I would rather keep my cheaper vacation package and pay for extras if needed. I would come in way under what this one was quoting. I didn’t expect it to jump so much by adding my child. The waits online were long but I was patient and made it through. It looks like a lot more has opened up all around. Not sure what will be left when all was said and done. Good luck to you all!

  9. Dee Fritsch

Has anyone actually gotten through and finalized a booking? I was trying for over 6 hours and was able to make all my selections only for it to never load a confirmation or payment screen. It kicked me out and sent me to the back of the queue. This has been the most excruciating process. Just to make a restaurant selection take 10 mins for each one.

  10. Paul

I just spent 12 hours, and multiple attempts across devices, and my wife’s devices, and was unable to book anything. The “book restaurants” took too long and constantly timed me out. This was a mess.

  11. Valerie

The site kept telling us that we were missing a content, but when we tried to book a restaurant, it would spool for at least 10 minutes and didn’t allow us to book anything. It wouldn’t allow us to book the vacation package because of missing “content”. Very frustrating, spending hours for nothing.

  12. Paul

Update: spent an additional 5 hrs on multiple devices and it keeps erroring on random things. On pc browser it times out loading the Disney sea day restaurants. It randomly errors at checking availability or moving to the next screen. Rooms randomly are available and then unavailable.

The entire process is incredibly painful. I made it to the end in the morning but since I didn’t login before starting the process, I ended up in an endless spinning wheel on the login screen at the end.

This has been 17 hrs of pain only paused when the site was down for maintenance.

  13. Paul

FINALLY this morning made it through the full booking process. Mobile was most successful as it seems restaurant selection timeouts were smaller. We got the MiraCosta (wanted a disney sea hotel). A bit of a fear when it said credit card did not go through, but it did, and I was charged, and booking is still in the system a couple hours later.

Hopefully it holds up. Was excited to do a disney trip with at least one thing – attractions – not something we needed to plan.

TDR explorer, despite the stress of booking, your videos are one of the reasons we are doing a “Japan theme park trip” as our theme park trip, instead of going to WDW or WDL.

  14. Grace

Hi! Is it true that you can also make a reservation for the Fantasy Springs Hotel buffet restaurant (you don’t have to stay there to make this reservation).? I read from somewhere else that they dont allow non guest to enter.

  15. Jonathan Jung

I have a question about how the Attraction Tickets work. On the site in the FAQ it would appear that each ticket can only be used once, so does that mean we can only choose one attraction to ride that day? In your description above in the article it mentioned unlimited. Just trying to better understand what we actually get in this package.
