Tokyo Disneyland Increases Capacity, Extends Hours, & Electrical Parade Dreamlights Returns

In a sign of things slowly returning to normal, Tokyo Disney Resort has announced an increase in park hours and an increase in guest capacity – plus the return of a much-loved parade.

Park Hours and Capacity Extended

Since re-opening, both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea have been operating under reduced park hours, with the parks open to guests from 10.00 am until 7.00 pm.

Beginning Monday, November 1, the operating hours of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea increase:

  • Tokyo Disneyland: 9:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Tokyo DisneySea: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm

In addition to extended park hours, the “Early Entry Ticket” is on sale beginning November 1.

Increased Park Capacity

Tokyo Disney Resort has been operating at a reduced due to Government rules with a maximum of 5,000 guests per day per park. Since October 1, 2021, Universal Studios Japan and Tokyo Disney Resort are allowed up to 10,000 guests per day.

Park capacity will continue to increase in stages while keeping the COVID-19 guidelines, such as social distancing.

Additional tickets are available beginning October 22, 2021! Here’s the schedule:

  • October 25th ~ November 13 (tickets on sale October 22 at 2 PM)
  • November 14 ~ November 26 (tickets on sale October 25 at 2 PM)
  • November 27 ~ December 3 (tickets on sale October 27 at 2 PM)

Electrical Parade Dreamlights Returns

Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights Christmas

The much-beloved Electrical Parade Dreamlights returns to Tokyo Disneyland from November 1. We’ve all missed the nightly electrical parade – and we are glad to see its return! Check the official Tokyo Disney Resort website for the schedule.

While the parade is returning, it’s not the regular show and has a few alterations for the time being. We’ll have to wait and see how it turns out starting November 1!

There’s still no news on when the borders to Japan will open to foreign tourists.

All our information is from the Oriental Land Co. press release.

More Things to Do in Tokyo

My recommendations for things to do in and around Tokyo! Plan a day at the Hello Kitty theme park, Sanrio Puroland, and an afternoon at the popular TeamLab Planets TOKYO. Take a tour around Tokyo with the convenient hop-on and-off bus. Spend a rainy afternoon inside Japan’s largest indoor theme park, Tokyo Joyoplis, near Tokyo Disney!
