Tokyo Disney Resort has confirmed that “Reach for the Stars,” the nighttime castle projection show at Tokyo Disneyland, will close on 14 September. The show served as the park’s nightly finale since its 2024 debut, lighting up Cinderella Castle’s facade with scenes inspired by beloved Disney stories.
Featuring large-scale projection mapping, lighting, and pyrotechnics, the show brought together characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar films, along with Marvel heroes for the first time. It also marked the long-awaited return of a full-scale nighttime castle show to the park after several years without one. While it may not have reached the same heights as some previous fan favourites, having a dedicated nighttime spectacular back at Tokyo Disneyland has been a welcome addition.
Guests planning a visit before 14 September will still have the chance to catch the show 1 to 2 times nightly at the Castle Forecourt.
