Tokyo DisneySea 20th Anniversary “Time to Shine” Event Details
Tokyo DisneySea is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with a year-long event, “Tokyo DisneySea 20th: Time to Shine!” This event is running from September 4, 2021, through September 3, 2022.

Entertainment
A brand new greeting show titled “Mickey & Friends Harbor Greeting ‘Time to Shine!’” where Mickey and friends are in their recent 20th-anniversary outfits! The show is about 10 minutes long with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Duffy, and ShellieMay.
The new nighttime harbour show “Believe! Sea of Dreams” debuts in 2022.
Tokyo DisneySea 20th Anniversary Merchandise
It’s not an anniversary without brand new merchandise. Check out our full blog post for more photos.
It’s not an event without special merchandise! Some merchandise also includes Duffy and Friends with a new line called “Duffy and Friends Starry Dreams.”

Special Food Menu
Throughout Tokyo DisneySea, different restaurants have different dishes to try in the new “Seasonal Taste Selections” program. Food also includes a special churro and other specialty drinks. We’ll update this once more information is known!
Decorations
Unique 20th-anniversary decorations are around the DisneySea AquaSphere and in Passaggio MiraCosta.
Disney Hotels
Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta marks its 20th anniversary with a special menu available in their restaurants at the hotel! Then at the Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel, unique postcards and room key holders are in your room for you to keep.

Disney Resort Line
With every special event, there’s always a collectible design for the monorail day passes. The 20th anniversary is no different! You’re able to get them at the four other monorail stations at Tokyo Disney Resort. Check out our video below on how to buy these tickets!
Initial Thoughts
My initial thoughts are, this isn’t as grand as past anniversaries. However, given what happened with the pandemic, a smaller scale anniversary was inevitable. I am happy that it’s on for an entire year, so hopefully, by then, borders will be re-opened for Explorers to come and enjoy the festivities!
In addition to the 20th-anniversary, there’s still the brand new Beauty and the Beast area at Tokyo Disneyland, Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan, and the upcoming Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs expansion.
