The Tokyo Disney Resort photography project Imagining the Magic returns for 2026 with a sparkling new collection celebrating the 25th anniversary of Tokyo DisneySea. This year’s project sees acclaimed photographer Masashi Asada capture approximately 120 playful and heartwarming photographs inspired by the anniversary’s theme, “Embark on a Sparkling Adventure!”
The collection showcases joyful moments throughout Tokyo DisneySea, from creative trick photography and underwater-inspired portraits to candid behind-the-scenes images of Disney characters wearing their Dance the Globe! costumes. The new works will feature across exclusive merchandise, limited-time hotel rooms, Disney Resort Line tickets, and free photo exhibitions in Osaka and Tokyo.
Exclusive Merchandise
Three waves of exclusive merchandise will be released throughout the anniversary celebration, each showcasing Asada’s colourful photography in different ways. The collection features Mickey and the gang dressed in their festive 25th Anniversary ‘Sparkling Jubilee’ costumes.
The first collection, scheduled for release on October 15, 2026 focuses on items for everyday use, including reusable shopping bags stored inside DisneySea Aquasphere-shaped pouches, smartphone accessories, and other travel essentials.
The second wave, hitting stores from December 3rd introduces photography-themed items, including camera straps, multi-purpose cloths, and six mystery tote bag designs. A third and final collection featuring the gang in their Dance the Globe! costumes will follow on January 12, 2027.
Free Photo Exhibitions
Fans will also have the chance to experience Imagining the Magic beyond the parks, with two free photography exhibitions. Alongside the anniversary photography, the exhibitions will feature exclusive works created specifically for the display, early previews of selected merchandise before it goes on sale at Tokyo Disney Resort, and immersive photo spots. Admission is free at both exhibitions.

Special Rooms at Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel
From October 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027, Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel: Wish will offer limited-time Imagining the Magic “Sparkling Adventure!” Rooms inspired by the photography project.
Three different room designs will be available. Two feature Disney characters dressed in their sparkling 25th anniversary costumes, while the third showcases candid photography from Dance the Globe! Some of the wallpaper artwork is exclusive to these guest rooms.
Each room also includes vibrant framed artwork depicting Disney characters aboard the SS Columbia.
Guests will also receive commemorative postcards, with designs changing midway through the offering.
