Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Construction Update (Spring 2021)
The construction of the new Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea is coming along quickly! This new expansion at Tokyo DisneySea is set to open in the fiscal year 2023. This includes a brand new luxury hotel (more expensive than the Hotel MiraCosta), two Peter Pan attractions, a Tangled attraction, and a Frozen attraction.
In addition, there’s also the new Toy Story Hotel opening in 2021 in the same area. OK, Here’s a look at the construction of Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea.
Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Construction
You’re able to see all this construction from the Tokyo Disney Resort Monorail in front of Bayside Station where the Official Hotels such as the Hilton Tokyo Bay are located.
Last year, we saw the Fantasyland expansion at Tokyo Disneyland open in September with the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, La Tavern de Gaston restaurant, Happy Ride with Baymax, and Minnie’s Style Studio!
Quick Glance at the Construction
Here are a few quick videos that were shared on our Instagram.
Spring 2021 (Photos)
I took a stroll yesterday to take some photos of the construction. Things are coming along quickly. 2023 will be here before you know it!
Hop on the monorail to see these two beautiful icons in the distance Coming around the bend, we can see the construction on the right. The left is the Forrest Theatre that recently opened! Uh, I guess just buildings? Here it is, the massive new Luxury hotel! Yeah, it’s massive. The hotel wraps around. You can see this big dome that must be the middle of the hotel? Here’s a zoomed-out look. There’s a lot going on! The hotel comes right up to Bayside Station (where the Official Hotels and the new Toy Story Hotel are) This is me zoomed all the way out lol There’s just … a lot of hotel OK, now we can see into the Fantasy Springs area a bit. You can see the Frozen area in the distance there. Tokyo Disney is becoming the resort with CASTLES FOR DAYS! Big ole show building. Wonder how this is gonna look when it’s done in terms of the sightlines? I mean, look at this thing. Then there’s this road in between these two buildings. Another building. On the opposite side by the Sheraton Hotel are all these pieces that are part of the land architecture. My photography skills aren’t the best and I need a better zoom lens. Also being on a moving monorail doesn’t help things. More pieces just hanging out waiting to make their debut. Here’s a better look at them. You’re able to see the detail. It’s a SEA of pieces. Here’s a look from the Hilton Tokyo Bay to give you an idea of the scale. Some are worried about sightlines, but there wasn’t much there, to begin with anyway due to the massive parking lot. It looks bad now but I’m confident it’ll look gorgeous once this is all done. This is a massive luxury hotel. A look from the Sheraton. Bayside Station at Tokyo Disney. Walking up to Bayside Station.

More Things to Do in Tokyo
My recommendations for things to do in and around Tokyo! Plan a day at the Hello Kitty theme park, Sanrio Puroland, and an afternoon at the popular TeamLab Planets TOKYO. Take a tour around Tokyo with the convenient hop-on and-off bus. Spend a rainy afternoon inside Japan’s largest indoor theme park, Tokyo Joyoplis, near Tokyo Disney!

They Disneyland Hotel had just opened when we arrived in Tokyo and I remember thinking it seemed like a big hotel. But, my goodness, this one already just seems, to borrow your word, massive. Hoping we will get to stay there in a couple years!
