Tokyo DisneySea’s Lost River Delta is hosting its first-ever “Lazos de la Familia” celebration inspired by the Disney and Pixar movie “Coco.” Coinciding with Halloween at Tokyo DisneySea, the limited-time event will feature live performances, mariachi music, and traditional Día de los Muertos decorations.

Lazos de la Familia will be offered at Tokyo DisneySea from September 17th through November 2nd.
During the event, Lost River Delta will be transformed with decorations celebrating Mexico’s Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a tradition where families come together to honour and remember loved ones who have passed. Guests will find a Coco-themed ofrenda: a traditional altar decorated with photos, favourite foods, candles, flowers, and sugar skulls, each element representing love, remembrance, and the symbolic act of guiding spirits home.

Along Puente Buena Vista in Lost River Delta, the spirit of Coco comes to life with vibrant skeleton displays and marigolds, the traditional flowers said to guide loved ones from the Land of the Dead.

Throughout the day, guests will be treated to lively performances of mariachi music.

Yucatan Base Camp Grill will be decorated with brightly-coloured papel picado, and will offer a limited-time Coco-inspired menu, featuring a seafood salsa sauce rice bowl featuring salmon, boned sausage, and fresh vegetables, alongside a Pan de Muerto and an orange & mandarin ‘Remember Me’ drink.

Additionally, cast members around Puente Buena Vista will be on hand to provide guests with leaflets introducing the world of Lazos de la Familia. The back of each leaflet is designed as an eye-catching “calavera” (skeleton) mask.
