Yokohama’s Minatomirai area is getting a playful twist this Christmas season as Tom and Jerry celebrate their 85th anniversary with a large-scale winter event with themed Christmas decorations, limited-time exhibitions, and of course, exclusive merchandise.
Yokohama Minatomirai Winter Holiday 2025-2026 – Tom and Jerry: Next Door to You will run from November 11, 2025, to January 12, 2026, across Yokohama Landmark Tower, MARK IS Minatomirai, and the Sky Building. Each location in Minatomirai will feature festive Tom and Jerry displays.
At Sakata Seed Garden Square (1st floor, Landmark Plaza), a glittering tree supported by a giant piano will light up the plaza. Visitors can enjoy festive melodies “played” by Tom himself.
A towering 3.5-metre balloon sculpture called “Tom and Jerry CHEESE GIFT” featuring oversized gifts and Jerry’s favourite snack takes centre stage in MARK IS Minatomirai’s Grand Galleria.
On the 10th floor, Tom and Jerry Christmas Party”, a cake-shaped tree sets the scene for a lively party with Tom, Jerry, and their friends.
The classic cat-and-mouse duo will also star in a special exhibition at the Sky Garden observation deck on the 69th floor of Yokohama Landmark Tower, tracing their 85-year history through music, comedy, and art. Visitors can capture commemorative photos at photo spots featuring the duo.
