Toy Story Hotel Construction Update (January 2021)
The new Toy Story Hotel at Tokyo Disney Resort is adding a pop of colour to the bland sightlines among the Official Tokyo Disney Resort Hotels. What I’m trying to say it, the new hotel colour palette is quite jarring in contrast to the other buildings in the area.
The Toy Story Hotel is a brand new value resort sandwiched between the Hilton Tokyo Bay and Sheraton Hotels. This new value resort is set to open in 2021 (there’s no official date yet). The Toy Story Hotel is in addition to the ultra-luxurious hotel that’s part of the Fantasy Springs expansion for Tokyo DisneySea.
In November, we saw the colourful block siding go up. Now, you’re able to see more of the colours that are on the parking structure that are in front of the hotel, too. This setup is common for hotels in the area with the multi-story parking structure in front of the building due to space limitations.
Anyway, let’s take a look at the construction! For more photos from previous months, scroll all the way to the end of the page for more articles.
Toy Story Hotel Construction (January 2021)
There’s no way you’ll miss this colour building when you’re on the monorail. The bright colours catch your eye without even trying. The new Toy Story Hotel is next door to the ever-popular Hilton Tokyo Bay Hotel.

More Things to Do in Tokyo
My recommendations for things to do in and around Tokyo! Plan a day at the Hello Kitty theme park, Sanrio Puroland, and an afternoon at the popular TeamLab Planets TOKYO. Take a tour around Tokyo with the convenient hop-on and-off bus. Spend a rainy afternoon inside Japan’s largest indoor theme park, Tokyo Joyoplis, near Tokyo Disney!

Will Toy Story Hotel be a Disney Hotel or an affiliate?
Is this going to be an official Disney hotel? Same benefits as Disneyland Hotel and MiraCosta?
I’d guess it’s a Disney Hotel. There are not many details on the specifics except what we know here: https://tdrexplorer.com/toy-story-hotel-tokyo-disney-2021/
Since it’s Toy Story, I’d guess it’s a Disney Hotel. “Official Tokyo Disney Resort Hotels” are the hotels liked the Hilton Tokyo Bay. We don’t now much other than what’s in this other article of ours (even the official press release has gone away): https://tdrexplorer.com/toy-story-hotel-tokyo-disney-2021/
