To celebrate the upcoming release of Tron: Ares, Shanghai Disneyland’s TRON Lightcycle Power Run attraction has received a special overlay, adding a new level of excitement to the park’s iconic Tomorrowland coaster! The limited-time overlay was first announced at the Walt Disney Studios showcase at Destination D23 on August 30th.
Guests riding from now until November 2nd will experience a dazzling new red and orange lighting package, contrasting sharply with the classic blue and orange hues of the Grid. The ride also features the pulsating energetic industrial sounds of Nine Inch Nails, who was brought on to provide the soundtrack for Tron: Ares, which is scheduled for release on October 10, 2025.
Guests who purchase a Premier Access pass to ride Tron Lightcycle Power Run from now until November 2nd will receive a free TRON: Ares Energy set to take home as a souvenir.
