In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the TSUM TSUM plush toy series, Disney Store Japan is releasing an exciting and colourful new collection in collaboration with Japanese artist Sebastian Masuda who is largely considered the father of kawaii culture in Japan.
The celebratory collection features a vibrant, candy-colored aesthetic inspired by a festive piñata (kusudama). The range will include plush toys, apparel including eye-catching hoodies and hats, and a selection of everyday items like tissue box covers, pen cases foldable umbrellas, and eco-friendly bags.
Sebastian Masuda opened the shop “6% DOKIDOKI” in Harajuku in 1995 and is known for designing Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s PONPONPON music video and producing the much-missed KAWAII MONSTER CAFE and Colorful Rebellion – World Time Clock in Harajuku.
Additionally, every Tuesday in October, Disney Store Japan will release new Autumn-themed Tsum Tsum donning costumes perfect for the fall and winter seasons. The series features designs inspired by roasted sweet potatoes and chestnuts, cozy plaid attire, and even winter-themed characters like foxes and polar bears.
The Tsum Tsum 10th Anniversary Collection will be available from September 29th on the Disney Store Japan online store, followed by a wide release on October 1st.
