Universal Beijing Resort ‘Scares @ Universal’ Event 2024

Universal Beijing Resort is bringing back its popular Halloween event, Scares @ Universal, on select nights from September 7 to November 3. The limited-time event offers daytime family-friendly activities and nighttime horror attractions, including scare zones, three limited-time haunted mazes and more.

Scares @ Universal is included with regular theme park admission. Universal Studios Beijing will be open until 22:00 during the event, with the nighttime offerings running from Thursdays to Mondays.

This year’s event will see the return of Universal’s iconic character Jack the Clown and his sidekick, Chance. The terrifying clown, who previously appeared at Halloween Nights in Orlando and Hollywood will take centre stage with a haunted maze. He will also command the crowd in the Carn-Evil Masters scare zone, where a twisted carnival atmosphere and acrobatics await.

Making its debut at Universal Beijing Resort, Jack’s Circus will invite guests to explore a sinister circus to unravel an eerie mystery, encountering bizarre characters along the way. Jack’s twisted world will blend laughter and terror to create an unforgettable experience. The maze will be located at Minion Land.

Unlike previous years, the three haunted mazes do not require online reservations or additional tickets—guests can simply join the queue for direct entry. Entrance to mazes and scare zones are restricted to guests aged 13 and above, with guests aged 13 to 16 to be accompanied by an adult.

Freaky Farm is back due to popular demand! The creepy maze invites park guests to explore an eerie farm haunted by the Pumpkin Demon and other terrifying creatures. The entrance to the atmospheric horror maze can be found on the Universal Music Plaza Stage in the park’s Hollywood area.

The immersive House NO. 81 places guests in the shoes of a protagonist navigating a haunted film set. Visitors will explore haunted rooms and hallways in this narrative-driven experience that will keep guests on their toes until the very end. The maze can be found at Transformers Metrobase.

In addition to the chilling thrills of scare zones and mazes, the park will also have family-friendly offerings during the day and non-event nights. Guests can meet with Minions, Puss in Boots, Woody Woodpecker and more dressed in their Halloween outfits.

It’s not a special event without food! During the Halloween season, guests can enjoy scare-themed dishes, including dark pasta, wacky desserts, and themed snacks offering a spooky twist on favourites.

Universal Beijing Resort will also offer the Scares @ Universal Early Bird Special, available for purchase from August 12 to August 25, 2024, allowing guests to secure their tickets in advance and enjoy a smoother experience with additional perks.
