Universal Studios Japan kicks off its 25th anniversary this spring with a year of special events, shows, and attractions, celebrating the park’s 25-year journey. And no anniversary is complete without limited-time food and drink – here’s what’s on the menu!
Universal Studios Japan’s “Discover U!!!” 25th anniversary celebration will take place from Wednesday, March 4, 2026, until Tuesday, March 30, 2027.
Food-On-The-Go Menu
For this monumental anniversary, Universal Studios Japan is leaning into playful collaborations with well-known Japanese brands, designed for eating while exploring the park. Start March 3rd, Universal Market, will offer delicious and crunchy Baskin-Robbins Churritos inspired by classic ice cream flavours.
Kewpie joins the fun with the eye-catching Mayo Mayo Tuna Mayo Corn Bun, designed to look like mayonnaise itself and packed with corn and mayo. The tasty treat can also be found at Universal Market.
USJ has teamed up with Ito Ham to offer the Altbayern Dog – Meat Monster, which features Altbayern sausage that cocks in at over 35cm long! The beast of a hotdog is also available at Universal Market.
At Parkside Grill, guests can try Tiramisu with the Aroma of Whisky Kakubin, infused with the fragrance of Suntory’s Kakubin whisky. This adults only treat is a perfect & convenient bite-sized takeaway dessert.
Over at Wharf Cafe, the fan-favourite Yakult Soft Serve Sundae – Mango returns in an improved version. The tropical mango flavour pairs with Yakult soft serve for a refreshing, park-exclusive dessert.
Food carts around the park will also get into the spirit, with twists on park classics. The food cart in front of Space Fantasy the Ride mash together two classic park snacks in one with the Caramel popcorn?! Churritos, while the Turkey Leg!? Bun! wraps the popular smoked leg inside fluffy bun dough
Something More Substanial
Of course, it’s not just all sweets and small bites! Universal Studios Japan’s restaurants will also be celebrating the park’s 25th with anniversary meals, and refreshed menus. Studio Stars Restaurant, a long-standing favourite since the park’s opening, is unveiling a refreshed American inspired menu.
Mel’s Drive-In and Louie’s NY Pizza Parlor will be selling a nostlgic 25th anniversary menu set that includes coasters (one coaster will be randomly distributed per set menu) featuring designs of attractions from the opening day attractions, including “ET” and “Back to the Future.”
25th Anniversary Food Souvenirs
To commemorate the anniversary, Universal Studios Japan is releasing a nostalgic 25th Anniversary Drink Cup featuring Woody and Winnie Woodpecker, featuring a Universal Studios globe straw topper.
In a nostalgic throwback, Snoopy Backlot Cafe is bringing back the Snoopy Lunch Box popcorn bucket that was first available on opening day. Featuring Snoopy driving a school bus with the Peanuts gang inside, the commemorative popcorn bucket is a must for Peanuts fans.

Getting around Japan by the world-renowned bullet train, known as the Shinkansen, is incredibly fast, reliable, and affordable for visitors. You can travel from Tokyo to Osaka in just over 2 hours. Get the JR Rail Pass to save a ton of money on the bullet train for your trip.
Book Your Hotel
Universal Studios Japan has affordable accommodations that are steps away from the park and have easy access to Osaka. I recommend checking prices through Booking.com followed by the hotels directly. Sometimes, you’re able to score some incredible deals. Here’s a short list of hotels at Universal Studios Japan I recommend.
- The Park Front Hotel at Universal Studios Japan – You’re directly in front of the Park gates and have instant access to Universal CityWalk Osaka. The rooms are gorgeous, with restaurants and even a Lawson (Japanese convenience store).
- The Singulari HOTEL & SKYSPA – Attached to the train station is a fantastic hotel for those who want a comfortable, clean, and stylish place to sleep. After a long day at Universal Studios Japan, the rooftop sento (public bath) is excellent for unwinding and relaxing.
