World’s First Pokémon Cafe Opens in Tokyo
The world’s first Pokémon Cafe has open in Tokyo, offering a variety of Poké-themed food including Pikachu curry, Eevee lattes, and a mighty Snorlax burger.
Many Japanese cities have a Pokémon Center or Store, but there’s never been a permanent place to buy official pokemon food. The brand new Pokémon Cafe changes everything!
The modern lightly-themed Pokemon Cafe is in the Takashimaya Nihonbashi Department Store and offers a selection of meals, drinks, and desserts. Some of the menu items come with souvenir plates, glass, and mugs, and there’s also official merchandise, including Pikachu plushes and coffee cups which you can buy separately.

A new shop called “Pokémon Center DX” has opened alongside the cafe, with fan favorite Mew as it’s mascot. To celebrate, a new line of merchandise featuring Pikachu in traditional Japanese dress has also been launched.
A reservation is currently required and can be made up to a month in advance online. The cafe is located close to Tokyo Station on the 5th Floor of the Takashimaya Nihonbashi Department Store, 103-0027.
