Hong Kong Disneyland has announced that when Mickey’s PhilharMagic returns from refurbishment on June 12th it will feature an exciting new scene featuring characters and music from Disney and Pixar’s 2017 film “Coco”. The addition of Coco marks the first time Disney and Pixar animators have worked on a creative endeavour where characters from both animation studios will be seen together on screen.
The addition of the new “Coco” scene at Hong Kong Disneyland follows the inclusion of Coco at Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Park, Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Paris, where the attraction was updated in 2022 to include the song “Un Poco Loco” from the film. Disney has released a behind-the-scenes video offering a look at how the world of Coco was brought to life in the popular 4D show.
Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a 12-minute 4D attraction located in Fantasyland at Hong Kong Disneyland. The show follows Donald Duck as he “borrows” Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat and is whisked away into a magical 3D journey through scenes from beloved Disney animated films like Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid.
