In commemoration of a century of Winnie the Pooh, Disney Store Japan is set to release a nostalgic anniversary collection featuring Pooh bear, and his friends from the Hundred Acre Woods.
The 100 year anniversary collection draws from the original illustrations from E. H. Shepard in A. A. Milne’s original 1926 children’s book, rather than Disney’s now iconic character designs first introduced in 1962’s Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree.
The collection features adorable plush toys of Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger with a classic style that looks like it jumped right out of the picture book. Each features vintage-like colours and an ultra-soft fleece. A special boxed premium edition of Pooh will also be released, featuring a gorgeous “Pride and Bloom” pattern ribbon from “Liberty Fabrics.”
The 100 Years of Winnie The Pooh collection also features an assortment of home goods and accessories featuring the ‘Classic Pooh’ design. Highlights include a tote bag, coin purse and waffle cookies in a pouch, all featuring a nostalgic design inspired by flowers from a beautiful English garden, and a honey pot motif.
Tea drinkers can also pick up an anniversary Pooh and Piglet teacup and saucer set, which pairs perfectly with Lupicia’s Strawberry & Caramel Honey-flavoured tea, available in a collectible tin.
The ‘100 Years of Winnie The Pooh’ Collection will be available from October 14th, at Disney Stores across Japan, in addition to the official Disney Store Japan online store.
