Earthquake Temporarily Suspends Attractions at Tokyo Disney Resort
Yesterday an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 shook the Kanto region (which includes the Tokyo area). No immediate injuries or damages reported. Nor an alert of a tsunami.
Oriental Land Company (who operates Tokyo Disney Resort) takes safety seriously to ensure the safety of their guests. Attractions are equip with mechanisms to stop when an emergency occurs. During yesterdays earthquake a number of attractions suspended operation for a short period of time. Guests posted photos on Twitter immediately following the quake.
