Finding Nemo Attraction Coming to Tokyo DisneySea in Spring 2017

As part of the massive expansion at Tokyo Disney Resort, a new attraction is opening in spring 2017 (tentative) at Tokyo DisneySea. Themed to Finding Nemo and Finding Dory this new attraction will be replacing the long running Storm Rider in Port Discovery. Storm Rider is scheduled to close in Mid-May 2016. What’s exciting is, the team that worked on Finding Dory are part of this project. Wonder what they will come up with?

Full details of the attraction is in the English press release from OLC.

Are you excited that Finding Nemo will be replacing Storm Rider?

I’m in two minds about this..on the one hand I do like Stormrider, especially the music! But on the other hand I think Finding Nemo is an adorable movie! Not sure if it really fits the sort of futuristic theming of Port Discovery either but I’m intrigued!

I am a bit on the fence about this too, but I am not a huge Storm Rider fan. Been on it a handful of times, and it never grabbed me. Since there is not much we can do about their decision, I am hoping whatever they do, will be fantastic! I have faith in OLC.

Looks like a cute ride but nothing special. Reminds me of Star Tours. I haven’t ever ridden Stormrider so maybe it’s not a big loss? I’m glad I’ll at least get to try out Stormrider before it closes.
