The best part? Unlike Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Walt Disney World, you don’t need a separate ticket—everything is included with your regular park admission. Here’s a closer look at all the magical holiday fun waiting for you at Tokyo Disney Resort this Christmas!

Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Tokyo Disneyland for Christmas is in November when the weather is still fair at 12°C (54°F) on average. December becomes much colder with an average of 8°C (46°F) and sometimes drops below 0°C (32°F) in the evenings.

- Avoid November 3 (Culture Day) and 23 (Labor Thanksgiving Day)
- Weekdays (Tuesday to Friday) are usually not too busy
- Use the Tokyo Disneyland Crowd Calendar to check your dates and adjust accordingly
Another time to avoid is the dates around “7-5-3 Day” on November 15. While this isn’t a public holiday, many people head to the Parks around these dates to celebrate. Read my detailed posts about visiting in November and December.
If you time it right, you can experience Halloween and Christmas on the same trip (a split visit). Halloween ends on October 31, and the Christmas event typically starts around November 8 (depending on the year). While the end of Halloween is a busy time at the Park, the beginning of the Christmas event and a few days before it begins is relatively quiet. This gives you ample time to tour Tokyo and other parts of Japan.
Tokyo Disneyland
Tokyo Disneyland brings a timeless Disney twist to Christmas, turning the park into a festive wonderland. Guests can enjoy festive decorations throughout the park, seasonal entertainment, and special food and drink offerings available only for a limited time.
Decorations
The Christmas magic starts as soon as guests enter Tokyo Disneyland, with a 15‑metre Christmas tree taking centre place in World Bazaar, setting the mood the moment you enter. Guests will also spot Tokyo Disneyland’s Christmas elf, Li’l RingRing, on ornaments, garlands and wreaths throughout the area.
Decorations inspired by the brand new “Toys Wonderful Christmas!” parade (more on this below) will brighten up the area in front of Cinderella Castle, bringing extra festive cheer to the park.
Entertainment
For the first time in 10 years, Tokyo Disneyland will debut a brand new Christmas parade: “Toys Wondrous Christmas!” Presented by Japan Airlines, the 45-minute parade features six floats and more than 20 Disney characters, including Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale, Pete, Max, Marie, Berlioz, Toulouse, Judy, Nick, and Stitch.
The parade begins at Santa Claus’ toy factory, where toys are being made, before moving through the parade route with themed floats like teddy bears in festive outfits, toy vehicles, wooden blocks, and a nutcracker marching band. The parade stops three times along the route for lively performances. Guests can also enjoy the show from designated viewing areas with Disney Premier Access for an additional fee.

This season will also feature the return of the spectacular Christmas version of the dazzling night parade, Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights. The Christmas edition of the classic parade will feature classic Christmas music as well as Mickey and Minnie Mouse in festive Christmas costumes.

The Country Bear Theater will celebrate the season with the festive Jingle Bell Jamboree, a special Christmas version of the classic animatronic show. The Country Bear Band takes the stage with a lively revue of popular winter songs, offered for a limited time from November 1, 2025, to January 12, 2026.
The Tokyo Disneyland Band will perform a mix of beloved Disney classics and Christmas arrangements, adding to the holiday atmosphere. During the season, the Bicycle Piano will also appear in World Bazaar, entertaining guests with lively ragtime tunes.
Attractions
The fan-favourite Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare overlay will return from September 16, 2025, to January 12, 2026. The cult classic attraction retells the story of Jack Skellington, aka “Sandy Claws” visiting the Haunted Mansion on Christmas Eve, leaving holiday chaos in his wake.
Tokyo DisneySea
Christmas at Tokyo DisneySea feels especially enchanting, with sparkling Christmas lights and festive decorations creating a romantic atmosphere. While Tokyo Disneyland delivers a more traditional Disney-style celebration, Tokyo DisneySea takes a different approach, focusing on ambience and offering a slightly more refined holiday vibe.
Decorations
Tokyo DisneySea looks truly magical during Christmas! The Mediterranean Harbor, American Waterfront, Cape Cod, and Lost River Delta areas will also feature beautiful decorations for the Christmas season. Tokyo DisneySea’s 15-meter-tall Christmas tree can be found on the American Waterfront. The festive tree will be illuminated with glittering lights after sunset.
Illuminated tree decorations will be added to Mediterranean Harbor at Tokyo DisneySea this Christmas season, bringing an extra touch of romance to the park after dark.
Entertainment
“Disney Christmas Greetings” will be performed twice daily on Mediterranean Harbor. The 15-minute production features Mickey Mouse and friends, including Duffy dressed in Christmas costumes, with a special appearance by Santa Claus himself! If you find yourself in the Mediterranean Harbor area, be sure to stop and enjoy this brief but entertaining show.

The Tokyo DisneySea Maritime Band will also be on hand to get you into the festive spirit with a mix of familiar Disney tunes and festive arrangements of memorable Christmas songs.
Starbright Christmas features fireworks set to classic Christmas songs. The brief 5-minute show is scheduled to be presented nightly and can be enjoyed from both parks. Keep in mind, though, that fireworks at Tokyo Disney Resort are often cancelled due to strong winds.
Merchandise
It isn’t a Disney event without exclusive seasonal merchandise! This year will feature a Mickey and Friends collection showcasing original designs of the gang helping decorate the resort for Christmas, alongside a collection of plush badges of popular characters in their festive Toys Wondrous Christmas! parade outfits.
Tokyo Disney Resort’s lovable Christmas elf, Li’l RingRing, returns this year with a new pastel-themed merchandise collection. The line includes cosy sweaters, cute headbands, shoulder plushes and more. Both Christmas collections will go on sale from November 10th.

- Some items are available at Bon Voyage (outside Maihama Station) and the Resort hotels.
Food and Snacks
From November 1 to December 25, Tokyo Disneyland is serving up a special Christmas-themed menu. Guests can enjoy festive treats at Refreshment Corner and Grandma Sara’s Kitchen, while Ice Cream Cone is offering a seasonal chocolate sundae topped with popcorn and churros.
At Tokyo DisneySea, Horizon Bay Restaurant and Cafe Portofino will be offering festive set menus to get you in the Christmas spirit, with highlights including roast and grilled beef, and Li’l RingRing desserts. Magellan’s will offer a special course with a sommelier recommended wine pairing set.

From November 1 to December 25, Disney hotel restaurants at the Disney Ambassador Hotel, Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta, and Tokyo Disneyland Hotel will be offering special Christmas menus.

Additionally, from Tuesday, November 11, all Tokyo Disney Resort hotels will feature Christmas decorations and illuminations tailored to each hotel’s theme, creating a festive and magical atmosphere.
From November 11 through December 2025, the six official Tokyo Disney Resort hotels will offer special accommodation plans for Disney Christmas. Each plan includes exclusive merchandise, featuring a coin case with Chip and Dale busily decorating the parks for the holiday season.
Disney Resort Line
This Christmas, the Disney Resort Line transforms into the Disney Christmas Liner with a specially decorated red-and-green monorail, featuring Mickey, friends, and Santa hat-inspired decorations.
All passengers will receive a limited-edition Christmas sticker, and for the first time, you can take part in a Christmas-themed stamp rally, collecting stamps at each station to reveal a unique Mickey Christmas design.
Guests can also collect a Christmas-themed Disney Resort Line ticket from the automatic ticket vending machines at each monorail station. Designs include Mickey and Friends enjoying a Holly Jolly Christmas, and Lil RingRing.
Four types of souvenir medals will also be available for a limited time at each station.
Tips and Recommendations
Follow our tips and you’ll be more than ready for Christmas at Tokyo Disneyland & Tokyo DisneySea:
- December 25th is date night and the table service restaurants are busy or fully booked (make reservations well in advance)
- Food and merchandise are always released the day after Halloween wraps up, even before the Christmas season officially begins.
- Christmas decorations are almost always completely up and running the day before the event starts
- We recommend visiting Tokyo DisneySea on Christmas Day for the best atmosphere

- November is a bit warmer compared to December
- It gets cold in the evenings during the season, so it’s best to dress warmly and layer
