While Disney Stores have largely disappeared from many Western markets, Japan continues to see the brand expand with new locations opening across the country. The latest addition is Disney Store Shinsaibashi PARCO, opening in Osaka on 26 August 2026. The new store will feature an exclusive design, a selection of limited-edition merchandise inspired by Osaka, and special opening promotions.
Disney Store Shinsaibashi PARCO introduces Japan’s first “magical journey” themed store design, featuring Disney characters and interactive displays throughout the shopping space. The store includes a steam locomotive running through the interior, with characters such as Stitch, Mickey Mouse, Chip and Dale appearing throughout the space.
The store will offer around 1,500 Disney and Pixar products, including plush toys, lifestyle goods, apparel, sweets and collaboration items. Popular Disney Store original series including UniBEARsity, UniBestiez and Urupocha-chan will also be available.
To celebrate the opening, Disney Store Shinsaibashi PARCO will release 23 exclusive items available only at the new location. The collection features Mickey & Friends in colourful red and blue striped outfits, with designs incorporating elements inspired by Osaka. Details include ribbons and confetti based on okonomiyaki ingredients, along with Chip and Dale holding spatulas.
Highlights include Mickey and Donald Duck Urupocha-chan plush toys inspired by takoyaki and okonomiyaki, plush toys and plush keychains, plus stationery and sweets, perfect for gifting. The collection will be available from 26 August 2026.
Opening Celebration Campaigns
Guests who spend ¥5,000 or more at Disney Store Shinsaibashi PARCO will receive an exclusive tote bag featuring a store-only design while supplies last. A limited-edition Shinsaibashi PARCO shop card will also be available for guests who request one during the opening period.
On opening day, visitors should note that entry reservations will be required through the Disney Store Club app. Further details will be announced closer to the opening.
