Update: The Tokyo Disney Resort website is under heavy traffic, so you will have a queue to get into the site for tickets and even then, it may crash.
Tokyo Disney Resort has announced the release of limited-time discounted park tickets, which will offer vaccinated guests a 20% discount on park admission from October 13, 2022 (Thursday) to January 31, 2023 (Tuesday).
The discount is offered as part of the Japanese government’s “Event Wakuwaku Discount” initiative, which aims to stimulate demand in the event industry, which has been severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Eligible guests can purchase the “Event Exciting Discount” ticket through the Tokyo Disney Resort Online Reservation/Purchasing Site from 2 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
The limited-time ticket will offer 20% off the regular price for the day of the visit.
The discount only applies to tickets bought through the Tokyo Disney Resort website. The discount does not apply to tickets from Disney Hotels, travel agencies, convenience stores, etc.
1-Day Passport:
- Adults: ¥6,320 – ¥7,520
- Juniors: ¥5,280 – ¥6,240
- Children: ¥3,760 – ¥4,480
1-Day Passport (for people with disabilities):
- Adults: ¥5,200 – ¥5,920
- Juniors: ¥4,240 – ¥4,960
- Children: ¥3,040 – ¥3,520
To be eligible, guests must present either:
- Vaccination record (3rd vaccination completed)
- PCR test negative certificate (using samples collected within 3 days before admission)
- Antigen quantitative test negative certificate (collected within 3 days before admission) using the specimen)
- Antigen qualitative test negative certificate (using a specimen collected within 1 day before admission)
You’re asked to bring your documents on the day of your visit. Cast members will check certificates at the entrance to the parks at random.
Note: Guests who have already purchased a regular 1-day passport or 1-day passport (for people with disabilities) online during the campaign can change their ticket for the Event Exciting Discount on the Tokyo Disney Resort reservation page.

I am finally returning to Tokyo in December and wanted to visit the parks Dec 12, 13, 15 and 16. I kept checking the official ticket website every few days and availability was excellent 2 months out, especially for weekdays. Even just 1 month out, availability was excellent so I really didn’t think there was a need to hurry.
That is why I decided to wait until October 16th to make a purchase of all my tickets in one nice transaction exactly 2 months ahead of my last day Dec 16th.
Now, everything in November and December is “currently not available for purchase”, including the first dates that I wanted. Oh what horror. 🙁 I’m taking my new boyfriend to Japan für his first visit and want to share my favorite Disney Resort in the whole world and now we might be there but unable to enter the parks. 🙁
Do you think they parks are sold out completely because of the discount? Do you think there is any chance they will release more tickets (with or without discount doesn’t matter)? Does this mean, crowds will be the same for weekdays and weekends because the parks are sold out anyway? Do you have any other tip how we could still get tickets?
I j managed to at least get tickets for DisneySEA for Sunday Dec 11th through klook who had a few more days available than the official website, but only TDS, no TDL. This info might help you and others.

I don’t know if they’ll release any more tickets. You’re best to continue checking the ticket website and contacting them directly (there’s a form on their website to email them) to ask about tickets.

Question: are they checking covid vaccine status at the entrance? Or only for these tickets?

Would I be able to use my discounted ticket if I get vaccinated 5 days before entering the park? That’s to say, do they check the dates?
