Universal Studios Japan is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a colourful new autumn event, bringing Halloween-inspired food, merchandise, carnival games, and character experiences to the park.
Universal Extreme Autumn ~Discover U!!!~ runs from September 10 through November 8, 2026, with new offerings featuring Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Snoopy, Hamikuma, and more.
Spooky-Cute Character Food and Merchandise
Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Snoopy, and Hamikuma are getting Halloween makeovers for a new collection of food and merchandise inspired by the park’s “Street Zombies” theme. The characters have been given a spooky-cute makeover, with each design reflecting their own personalities. Hello Kitty sports a heart-shaped eye patch, while My Melody and Kuromi appear with bunny ears, bandages, and Halloween-inspired injuries.

At Studio Stars Restaurant, guests can enjoy several Halloween-inspired plates from September 10. The lineup includes a Cocoa-Scented Bacon Cutlet Burger Plate, a Mushroom Cream Sauce Hamburger Steak & Omelet Rice Plate, and a Roast Beef and Croissant Sandwich Plate.

The accompanying merchandise will be available from September 9 at Cinema 4-D Store and other locations throughout the park. The merchandise collection includes plush toys and wearable accessories, with the Cinema 4-D Store transformed into a mysterious Western-style mansion for the occasion.

Hamikuma Carnival Game
Hamikuma is also getting a new experience at Festival in the Park. A carnival game themed around the spooky character will make its debut, giving guests the chance to test their skills while celebrating the Halloween season.

Hamikuma has become one of the standout characters of Universal Studios Japan’s Halloween Horror Nights, and the new game brings his creepy-cute presence into a daytime park experience.
Pink and Light Blue Yoshi Join Super Nintendo World
Super Nintendo World is also getting a special addition as the area celebrates its 5th anniversary. From September 10, guests will have the chance to meet not only the familiar green Yoshi, but also pink and light blue Yoshis during limited-time Meet & Greet experiences.

The special Yoshi Meet & Greet will be available at Super Nintendo World from September 10, 2026, through January 11, 2027.
Opening hours vary by day, and only one Yoshi will appear during each Meet & Greet session.
