Review: Starbucks Japan Witch & Princess Halloween Frappuccinos

Starbucks Japan is well-known for its limited time frappuccinos available each month throughout the year. No matter when you decide to visit Japan, there’s always a new flavour to try. With each passing year, Halloween has become a staple of the fall season in Japan and at its theme parks such as Universal Studios Japan and Tokyo Disney Resort. It comes as no surprise that Starbucks Japan is taking this opportunity to offer food and merchandise. The newest frappuccinos were released on October 18, 2018, just in time for Halloween, and available until October 31, 2018, at all Starbucks locations in…

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Kingdom Club Frozen Suite Review

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is now offering the Frozen Suite as part of their Kingdom Club level rooms at the gorgeous Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. Kingdom Club is an excellent way to add a bit of luxury to your stay. I’ve done the Kingdom Club a few times as a splurge and don’t regret it one bit —  my wallet tells a different story. We had an opportunity to experience the Kingdom Club Frozen Suite this summer. A huge thank you to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort for providing the room for a night during our stay. This allows us to share…

“Celebrate! Tokyo Disneyland” Nighttime Spectacular Review

“Celebrate! Tokyo Disneyland” is the new nighttime spectacular at Tokyo Disneyland and officially debuts on July 10, 2018, as part of the Tokyo Disney Resort 35th Anniversary. As the name indicates, it’s a show dedicated to celebrating the Park. With the use of water fountains, pyrotechnics, lasers, lighting, fireworks, and projection mapping, you’re transported around the “Kingdom of Dreams and Magic.” Mickey Mouse starts off the show on the balcony of Cinderella Castle and figures out when he waves his baton, the music is able to transport him and guests around Tokyo Disneyland. Each scene focuses on a different land…

Dragon Wind Review at Hong Kong Disneyland

Dragon Wind is a character buffet restaurant in the excellent Disney Explorers Lodge hotel at Hong Kong Disneyland. It’s open for both breakfast and lunch (it’s best to make a reservation in advance). Breakfast starts at $298 HKD ($38 USD) for adults and lunch starts at $388 HKD ($50 USD). The restaurant is an open-concept with beautiful decorations showcasing culture from both Hong Kong and China. It fits perfectly with the overall theme of the Disney Explorers Lodge. Our review covers only the breakfast buffet, as I haven’t had the chance to dine there for dinner.

Robot Restaurant Review & Where to Eat

The Robot Restaurant in Tokyo is one of the most unusual and confusing experiences you’ll have in Japan. It opened its doors back in July 2012, and has become one of the most visited and talked about tourist attractions in Tokyo. On any given night, if you walk through Kabukicho in Shinjuku (one of the nightlife areas of Tokyo) you’ll see tons of tourists gathering outside, waiting to gain entrance to this incredible experience. In this review, I’ll share my thoughts and give you tips and information on how to score discount tickets. In addition, I give you my recommendations…

Tokyo Disneyland 35th Anniversary Food Reviews

The Tokyo Disney Resort 35th Anniversary “Happiest Celebration!” is a year-long event running at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea from April 15, 2018, through March 25, 2019. Don’t worry: seasonal events are still happening at both Parks during this celebration (except Easter 2018 at Tokyo Disneyland). See our event calendar for 2018/2019. My favourite part of any event is the special food offerings. This anniversary is no different, and the number of options means everyone is able to find something they’ll enjoy. In this guide, I’ll review the different snacks and dishes for the anniversary event. These reviews cover…

World’s First Pokémon Cafe Review in Tokyo

The world’s first permanent Pokemon Cafe is now open in Tokyo, Japan! I’ve been to a few pop-up Pokemon Cafes in the past. The last one was at the now-demolished Parco Department Store in Shibuya. Once I heard that a permanent cafe was opening, I knew I had to visit. Pokémon came into my life back in 1998 when the games first came out in North America. My brother and I got brand new Gameboy Colors for Christmas that year (Pokémon Red and Blue, respectively). Since then, I have been a huge fan of the franchise (even before I became a…

    Starbucks Clear Sparkling Water Review

Are you off to Japan soon? If so, you’ll want to stop by the nearest 7-11 (there’s one on almost every corner) to try one of the two new Starbucks clear sparkling water drinks — Starbucks Sparkling Refreshing Taste (Non-calorie) and Starbucks Sparkling Peach Splash (Low-calorie). Flavoured sparkling and still clear water have become quite popular in Japan the past few years. Go into any convenience store and you’ll see flavoured clear water among the variety of soft drinks. I’ve seen apple, yogurt, and even milk tea flavours recently. Starbucks in Japan is taking advantage of this trend with their own offerings. I went…

Crystal Palace Restaurant Review at Tokyo Disneyland

The Crystal Palace Restaurant is the only buffet inside Tokyo Disneyland, in Adventureland. For those Explorers looking to stuff their face, this is where you’ll do it. Sadly, it’s only a buffet now. The restaurant used to offer a character breakfast with Winnie the Pooh characters. I recommend making advance reservations. Our review lets you know if I think if the Crystal Palace Restaurant is worth the money. Table of Contents Overview Decor Food Recommendations Verdict
