Sweet Duffy is a yearly event which happens at Tokyo DisneySea to fill the gap between Christmas and spring. Merchandise, Duffy costumes, decorations, and sweets span from the Mediterranean Harbour to the American Waterfront. For fans of Duffy the Disney Bear, this is the event of the year. Where DisneySea dedicates (more than usual) an event just for Duffy, ShellieMay, and now Gelatoni. This past week, I had the chance to visit the park and experience first hand what pure indulgence in everything Duffy was like. If you have followed our website for a while, you may know that I am a Duffy…

Anna and Elsa have made their return for another winter season at Tokyo Disneyland. This year brings a full parade, new merchandise, and even cuter snacks (who knew that was possible). We were lucky enough to see the “preview” of the event a day before it started! Here’s our trip report of our experience with Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Fantasy at Tokyo Disneyland. Preview Day Sometimes a day before an event begins the resort will run the shows. The show times are not posted but are announced in the parks. You just have to be lucky. I just happened to decide…

Hi, I’m EJ and this is a long overdue trip report of my first trip to Tokyo Disney Resort, last January. It almost makes no sense to write this as a report per se, but it’s more of a reflection of the ups and downs of making your first trip during one of the busiest times of the year. Going to Tokyo for the New Year’s is the best worst idea ever If you’re reading this site, they’re you’re probably one of two things. You either a. really love Disney or b. are really fascinated with Japan. Some would lean…

8 min read Our trip to Disneyland Resort for the 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration is best summed up as “extraordinary”, in almost every way imaginable. Both John and I went with zero expectations (that is always the best approach in my opinion) and by the time our trip was over, we created life long memories, forged new friendships, and re-connected with some old friends, too. In addition we gave away a tree’s worth of Tokyo Disney Park Maps! Oh, and I strutted my stuff in my Chip N Dale outfit, which received quite a few compliments. Meeting New Friends Before…

18 min read Introduction and Arrival Hello! My name is Dan, and I’m a Disney addict. Yeah, this is no AA meeting, but hey, we’re all hooked. That much is obvious. So, I’ll be a tad vain and begin with a little bit about myself. Being a big fan of Disney films – both animated and live action – since childhood, one could say that I was brought up to love this stuff. It’s a real lifelong love. My love for Disney parks started when I was very young as well, with family trips to Walt Disney World in Florida…

14 min read To celebrate my 30th birthday, I wanted to do something special. For me, special meant spending the day at Tokyo DisneySea with my closest friends. You may all know that I frequent the parks quite a bit. So, I figured planning my celebration (yeah, I am like that!) would be as easy as walking on Pooh’s Hunny Hunt during a typhoon in June. It was a welcomed challenge which paid off, in a huge way. My friends and I created memories that will last a lifetime, and I learned a few things about planning for a such a…

This was either a brilliant marketing scheme to promote Disney’s Frozen or Tokyo got the most snow it has seen in 45 years on February 8th. My bet is it was all mother nature’s doing. And if you’re a Disney fan, where do you go on such a snowy day? You head to Tokyo Disneyland of course. Typically, the only snow you’ll see at Disney Parks in the United States is the fake cinnamon snow they spray out during Christmas and New Year’s, so to see the real deal blanketing Cinderella’s Castle and the rest of the parks was an opportunity…

I’m a big Disney Parks fan. From the detailed theming to superior customer service to impeccable cleanliness, Disney Parks offer great value for the travel dollar. And there is something that strikes a sentimental chord with me when I round the corner at the entry gates and catch my first glimpse of Main Street USA. It’s like I’m a kid all over again. Every Disney destination has its own attraction. Disneyland Resort in Anaheim is the original – there can only be one “first” park. Walt Disney World is an immersive resort experience that makes the real world feel like it’s…
