International Food & Drink Fest at Shanghai Disney Resort – Spring 2019

Shanghai Disney Resort is hosting its first ever International Food & Drink Fest from April 12 to May 4, 2019.

The festival will offer guests the chance to try dishes from around the world, take part in cooking lessons, and buy exclusive merchandise.

The event will take place in Disneytown, just outside of the Park, but guests will need to buy a festival ticket. There are a variety of ticket options, ranging from ¥50-268 CNY ($7-40 USD). Check out all the information below.

International Food & Drink Fest

Disneytown will have 13 food booths with a selection of snacks and meals, including dishes from Hawaii, the Middle East, Italy, and South Korea.

Non-alcoholic beverages, beer, wine, and cocktails from around the world will also be on offer. Here’s a sneak peek at the menu.

The International Food & Drink Fest includes two different cooking experiences, where guests can learn technique and recipes from local Disney chefs and culinary experts. Guests visiting on the weekend might even meet Chef Donald, too!

The Disney Chef Cooking Show is a daily show where guests can see demonstrations on how to make various dishes. The show varies throughout the festival, with different experts teaching recipes that guests can recreate at home.

The Disney Chef Studio is a hands-on masterclass which gives budding chefs a chance to ask questions, learn technique, and make some of the Resort’s most popular dishes, including Blue Summer Crab Salad and Lobster Risotto. Kids can take part and create candy apples, Disney chocolate marshmallows, and Minnie cranberry muffins.

There will be free Chef Studio sessions several times a day during weekdays, with classes on dessert decoration, coffee demos, and wine tasting. At the weekends there will be paid chef studio tastings and cooking classes.

There’s no confirmation that either experience is suitable for guests who don’t speak Mandarin.

Food Festival Merchandise

To celebrate the new International Food & Drink Fest, Shanghai Disney Resort is releasing over 20 special merchandise items, including kitchenware, stationery, apparel, and Mickey-shaped snack pins.
