Great news, everyone! Following a multi-year absence, dancers and much-missed Disney characters have returned to Tokyo Disneyland’s night-time extravaganza, Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights!
Prior to the pandemic, the parade featured a troupe of brightly coloured dancers, however all that changed when the resort was forced to close on February 29, 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. While the parade returned on November 1, 2021, dancers and a number of characters were notably absent due to Japan’s physical distancing guidelines.
In addition to the return of dancers and missing characters, many dancer costumes have been updated, such as new teacup costumes accompanying the whimsical Alice in Wonderland float.
Due to physical distancing guidelines, many of the floats have featured reduced characters – this has also been remedied with the updated production, with many Disney friends returning! The Tangled float now features Flynn Ride with Rapunzel, Beast dances with Beauty on the Ballroom Float, and Anna now joins Elsa on the epic Frozen float.
